Business Meeting Minutes
October 16th, 2018
The regular meeting of the Libertarian Party of Orange County, Fl. was called to order at 7:39pm on October 16th, 2018 at Orlando Brewing by Chair – Derek Ryan.
Executive Committee: Derek Ryan – Chair, Pedro Geliga – Vice-Chair, Mari Morrell – Secretary, Greg Peele - Treasurer, Wayne Jackman – Platform Chair
Voting Members: None
Regular Members: None
Guests: Izzy Aly, Will Dukes
Determination of Quorum
Quorum of voting members was established.
Approval and Adoption of Agenda
Greg Peele objected to the agenda and moved to add the following motion to the front of new business: “I move to authorize up to $250.00 of contributions in matching funds to Derek Ryan’s campaign for Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District from 10/13/18 to 10/19/18 will be eligible.” The motion was seconded by Wayne Jackman and passed unanimously.

Motion to formally endorse Sean MacQuade for Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District Group 2. (postposed from previous meeting)
Greg moves to postpone indefinitely. The motion was seconded by Pedro Geliga. After discussion the motion to postpone indefinitely failed unanimously.
Original motion for endorsement passed unanimously.
Greg Peele- Motion to authorize up to $250.00 of contributions in matching funds to Derek Ryan’s campaign for Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District from 10/13/18 to 10/19/18 will be eligible
- Motion seconded by Mari Morrell.
- Wayne Jackman moved to amend the motion to restrict the candidates own contributions from being eligible for matching.
- Greg Peele seconded the amendment and the amendment passed.
- Wayne Jackman called the question on the main motion.
- Mari Morrell seconded and the motion to call the question passed unanimously.
- The amended motion passed unanimously.
Announcement of office positions up for election in November and required qualifications.
Discussion of November Annual Business Meeting locations and plans.o Discussion of alternate social media platforms and strategies in light of Facebook and Twitter Censorship.
Discussion of LPOC audit against LPF draft affiliate requirements checklist.
Discussion of number motions and historical record keeping and cross-referencing.
Wayne Jackman made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Greg Peele and it was approved by a unanimous vote.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:24pm by Chair – Derek Ryan. The next business meeting will be at 7:00pm on November 20, 2018, at Orlando Brewing.
