Opening

The regular meeting of the Libertarian Party of Orange County, Fl. was called to order at 7:31pm on September 18th, 2018 at Orlando Brewing by Chair – Derek Ryan.

Present

Executive Committee: Derek Ryan – Chair, Pedro Geliga - Vice-Chair, Mari Morrell – Secretary, Greg Peele - Treasurer, Wayne Jackman - Platform Chair

Voting Members: None

Regular Members: None

Guests: Rob Casterline, Izzy Aly, Chris Rose II, Scott Cox

Determination of Quorum

Quorum of voting members was established.

Declaration of Proxy

Zachary Detwiler, in accordance with the bylaws and in a timely manner, requested that Greg Peele act as his undirected proxy for this meeting. Greg Peele accepted the request.

Approval and Adoption of Agenda

The agenda was approved without objection.

The minutes were approved as presented.

  • Motion to formally adopt the position to endorse Constitutional Amendments 1 and 2 – Failed unanimously

New Business

  • Wayne Jackman – Motion to suspend the rules in order to update the August 2018 Business Meeting attendance record to reflect Wayne Jackman as present. The motion was seconded by Greg Peele and passed unanimously.
  • Discussion of proposed social media policy and potential volunteers.
  • Greg Peele- Motion to formally adopt the position to endorse Florida Constitutional Amendment 11. The motion was seconded by Mari Morrell and passed unanimously.
  • Greg Peele – Motion to formally adopt the position to endorse Florida Constitutional Amendment 12. The motion was seconded by Mari Morrell and failed unanimously.
  • Greg Peele- Motion to formally adopt the position to oppose Constitutional Amendment 13. The motion was seconded by Pedro Geliga and passed unanimously.
  • Greg Peele- Motion to formally endorse Sean MacQuade for Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District Group 2. The motion was seconded by Mari Morrell. Wayne Jackman moved to postpone the motion until the October 2019 Business Meeting and was seconded by Pedro Geliga. The motion to postpone passed unanimously.

Mari Morrell made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Pedro Geliga and it was approved by a unanimous vote.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:55pm by Chair – Derek Ryan. The next business meeting will be at 7:00pm on October 16, 2018, at Orlando Brewing.

Zach Detwiler made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Pedro Geliga and it was approved by a unanimous vote.
